This page is a space for my dreams to exist, unfold and evolve. I invite you to witness ideas blossom, see what’s to come and perhaps, something inspiring might follow you out…
O1. MEET ME AT THE COURTS
ceramic | mixed media
This year I’ve explored themes of play, sport, games, movement, shadow, and stillness. Meet me at the courts is a playful dream-state piece. Tennis balls of various sizes.
A ceramic wall piece, a moment frozen in time, as if the player has disappeared into thin air, the balls strewn about the court, a racket left behind. I plan to do a series of sports games, and a few variations of tennis.
O2. PUBLICATION OF CERAMIC FIGURES
ceramic | mixed media
Last year, I created a series of head figures from leftover clay. Each one emerged intuitively, shaped by hand, guided by whatever forms revealed themselves in the moment.
The process felt deeply playful. As their subtle, animated features came to life, so did a sense of personality, each figure hinting at its own story.
What began as a playful study has evolved into an ongoing exploration. As I continue to develop these characters I plan to release a publication centered on their narratives.
Help me choose a name! Claude? He’s a mad scientist.
O3. CERAMIC BIRD HOUSES
ceramic stoneware
Inspired by a love of nature and observing it, this series of birdhouses reimagines human luxuries as small, miniature glamorous dwellings for local wildlife.
As I conceptualize each piece, I place myself inside the structure, imagining life at that scale, how it would feel to inhabit, and what details would bring it to life.
This piece began as a two-story birdhouse, with a dwelling above and an arched rotunda bird bath below, complete with a built-in planter. After an accidental fall reshaped the form, the concept evolved. It now exists as a small gallery, featuring rotating miniature artwork, lit by a skylight set into a sloped roof, framed by arched windows and French doors that open onto a balcony.
O4. CERAMIC PERIODIC TABLE
ceramic stoneware
What draws me to the periodic table is not just its structure, but the depth of knowledge behind it. The people who study, test, and work with it daily.
This work stems from a desire to bring that system into a more tactile form while maintaining a level of scientific accuracy.
Each tile, approximately five inches in scale feature the Elemental abbreviations carved into a natural claybody. A contrasting pronounced white glaze sits in the carved surface allowing the piece to feel natural and refined. Designed to hang directly on the wall they exist between object and installation.
A stylized yet grounded homage to the systems that shape our material world.
